Brian McDonald OAM - Majors Creek

‘Loves’ community

Near Braidwood, Majors
Creek resident Brian McDonald is now a Member of the Order of Australia
for his life-long involvement in the community.

Mr McDonald says he is proud to have produced two books exploring the region's history.

“The first book was written, Ned Dunshea put one together, the late Ned Dunshea, and I edited it,” he said.

“My parents went to school with him.

“And then I thought 'well, I'll do the next 50 years, and I put the life in Majors Creek as I've seen it over my lifetime.”
